A Public Seminar at ARCHiNOS Office

14 December 2010

On 13 December 2010, ARCHINOS hosted a special event at its Heliopolis office. Naseer Arafat, a renowned conservation architect from Nablus in Palestine, gave a lecture on conservation of historic monuments in that city. The audience included architects, conservation professionals and students, as well as the Polish Ambassador, H. E. Piotr Puchta, formerly consul in Ramallah. The lecture was part of the public seminars series of the Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo, whose own hospitable premises are currently undergoing renovation.

For the audience, the evening was an opportunity to learn about little-known aspects of historic preservation from a fascinating lecture. For ARCHINOS, it was a welcome chance to make another contribution to the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the professional community in Cairo and throughout the Middle East.
