Bin Matar House: Place of Memory, Bahrain

Pearl-diving was for centuries the principal industry in Bahrain, and the Bin Matar family were important pearl merchants. Their house in Muharraq has been restored and turned into a “Place of Memory” museum exhibition. The work involved  creating the scenario and story line for a permanent exhibition and full design including graphic design. The exhibition, which conveys its message through a variety of media, is designed to creatively interplay with simple but impressive historic interiors.
