Raffaele Fiorella

and Alessandro Vangi:

VITE BIANCHE

Raffaele Fiorella lives and works in Barletta (Bari), where he teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts. He works in different media, including installation, video, and sculpture.

Alessandro Vangi studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari, from which he graduated in Graphic Arts in 2015. His primary interest is in site-specific videomapping installations.

In October 2018, Alessandro and Raffaele created a videomapping installation titled Vite Bianche (White Lives) that transformed the façade of the maq'ad of Sultan Qaitbey into an ever-changing sequence of enthralling images, forms and shapes. The projection was coordinated with a live contemporary dance performance choreographed by Mirette Mechail .

In continuation of his previous work in Cairo, Raffeele also organised a competition in designing and flying kites for the local children, an event that was extremely popular in the neighborhood, and for which various Egyptian businesses generously donated prizes.
