Preliminary concept design for adaptation of the fort in Riffa’ in Bahrain for a permanent display of traditional Bahraini material culture, with facilities for visitors.
The fort was built in 1812 and for a time was a seat of Bahrain’s ruling family. It was restored in the 1990s. The guiding principle of ARCHiNOS concept design was minimal intervention into the historic architecture of the fort.
